    : The main demand of technological civilization in the global era is the knack in synergizing varied information to build a proposition as a framework in the problem solution. The characteristics of the dialectic technology era demands a shift in the mindset, the knack in meeting the demands, the domain and level of competition, and the culture of survival. A nation possessing the capacity to make use and develop technology has the potential of “ruling the world.” Nowadays, there is a shift in competition domain in the excellence of product quality and accessability leading to speed, flexibility and trust supported by the ability of learning how to learn dan networking. This condition requires human resources having the characteristics of being wise, prioritizing excellent competence, godly character, sustainable self-learning, and spiritual dis-cernment as the key of success in making use, developing, and sustaining the geographical, demographic, and socio-cultural richness. The human characteristics of this sort have the potential of developing emulative ability, i.e., human-ware, info-ware, organo-ware, and techno-ware to yield technology products of ”high quality, low-cost, low-risk,and highly competitive” in this global era

    Tujuan penelitian untuk mengungkap dan memerikan strategi, dan imple-mentasi Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) dalam mening-katkan efisiensi sistem Maintenance and Repair (M&R) di SMK. Metode penelitian menggunakan Research and Development (R&D). Efisiensi diukur dengan cara mem-bandingkan keadaan sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan sistem yang baru (before-after) hasil pengembangan, dengan tahapan studi pustaka, perencanaan strategi, dan implementasi. Penelitian dilakukan dua tahap. Tahap pertama pengumpulan data, analisis dan revisi, rencana strategi dan implementasi. Tahap kedua pengumpulan dan analisis data evaluasi hasil implementasi CMMS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peng-gunaan CMMS dalam meningkatkan efisiensi: (1) sistem M&R perawatan preventif rerata sebesar 80,00%; (2) mekanisme M&R rerata sebesar 81,00%; (3) instrumen M&R sebesar 76,00%; (4) jadwal M&R sebesar 85,00%; dan (5) managemen SDM sebesar 83,00%

    : Effectiveness of Integrated Learning Model of Shared Based Gallery Project. This study aims to test the effectiveness and attractiveness of integrated learning model prototype of Shared-based Gallery Project in improving the student‘s learning outcomes of the research methodology course in educational programs. The quasi experimental study involved 369 student teachers of public and private teacher-education institutions, randomly sampled and assigned to experimental and control groups. Data were collected using test and non-test techniques and analyzed using t-test and Mann-Whitney U test. The results showed that the proposed model was more effective in improving students' learning outcomes and was more attractive to students and teachers in the teaching and learning process

    : Problem-solving Teaching Strategy, Kolb Learning Styles, and Learning Achievement. This quasi experimental study was intended to investigate the differences in learning achievement in Mechanical Engineering II Course between students taught using problem - solving strategy, taking their learning styles into considerations. The independent variable of problem-solving strategy includes open-ended (Psoe) and closed- ended (Psce), whereas the moderating variable of learning style consists of diverging, converging, and assimilating styles. The subjects were randomly selected from Mechanical Engineering II classes, resulting in 68 students joining Psoe strategy and 64 joining PSce strategy. The data obtained from problem - solving test method revealed that students with Psoe strategy outperformed those with Psce moderated by the learning styles of diverging, assimilating, converging and accommodating

Teknik yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data berupa dokumentasi dan angket/kuesioner. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier ganda dengan bantuan aplikasi IBM SPSS Statistics 24. Hasil penelitian yaitu: (1) Tingkat kontribusi orang tua di SMK N 1 donorojo tergolong tinggi, (2) Tingkat kontribusi dunia usaha/industri di SMK N 1 donorojo tergolong tinggi, (3) Tingkat mutu layanan program TKR di SMK N 1 donorojo tergolong tinggi, (4) Hasil pendidikan program TKR di SMK N 1 donorojo tergolong tinggi

    Effect of Media Synchronization Module on Learning Achievement of the Software Engineering Students of Vocational High School

    This research aims at examining the effect of media synchronization module, mechanical aptitude, and prior knowledge on learning achievement of eleven grade students of the Software Engineering (RekayasaPerangkatLunak/RPL) Programin Vocational High School 5 at Malang, East Java, Indonesia. This quasi-experimental research used factorial design of 2x2x2 pattern and applied the non-equivalent control group design. It involved 74 students who were divided into two groups; 37 students were in the experimental group and 37 students were in the control group. Tests were used to investigate the students’ mechanical aptitude, prior knowledge and learning achievement. Data were analyzed by using three-way ANOVA. The results of the research showed that: 1) There was a significant difference in the learning achievement of the group taught by using media synchronization module and those who were taught by using the conventional method; 2) there was no significant difference in the learning achievement in the C++ Programming between students who had high and low mechanical aptitude; 3) there was a significant difference in the learning achievement in C++ Programming between students who had high and low prior knowledge; and 4) there was no significant interaction among media synchronization module, mechanical aptitude, and prior knowledge on the learning achievement with C++ Programming

    Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memetakan tingkat keefektifan guru matemati-ka SMK dan kemenarikan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran menggunakan metode pendekatan saintifik pada kurikulum 2013. Metode penelitian menggunakan des-kriptif dengan subjek penelitian guru matematika dan siswa SMK yang menerapkan kurikulum 2013 se Malang Raya. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan Simple Random Sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan: kuesioner, wawancara, dan data dianalisis dengan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Guru Matematika SMK: persiapan pembelajaran efektif (62,40%); penerapan pembelajaran kurang efektif (47,00%) Siswa SMK: kurang tertarik pada aspek persiapan pembelajaran (52,86%); dan kurang tertarik pada penerapan pembelajaran (50,13%)

    Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memerikan hambatan dan faktor penyebab prak­­tik kerja industri siswa SMK Kompetensi keahlian Teknik Pemesinan pada ta­hap: per­siapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kuan­­titatif. Menggunakan ketentuan  proporsional random sampling jumlah sampel ada­­­lah: sebanyak 82 siswa, 10 guru, 6 instruktur industri. Teknik pengumpulan data di­­lakukan dengan observasi, kuesioner, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian: (1) ham­bat­an pada tahap persiapan: (a) siswa kesulitan mencari tempat prakerin yang sesuai de­ngan bakat, minat, dan keahlian; (b) kesulitan mencari tempat tinggal sementara/kos; (2) hambatan pada tahap pelaksaan: (a) tidak relevannya keahlian dengan pekerjaan dan tugas yang dikerjakan siswa di tempat prakerin; (b) kedisiplinan siswa yang ren­dah; (c) penerapan K3 yang tidak sesuai SOP; (3) hambatan pada tahap evaluasi ke­­sulitan pada perencanaan karir  siswa
